The opulence of 18th century France is reproduced in this finely handmade and hand carved Steinway Model M grand piano made of beautiful grained Circassian walnut wood in the Louis XV carved style, including the legs and molding. Even the top lid of the piano is scalloped in beautiful detail. The exotic wood is from Eastern Europe and is famous for its' richly contrasting grain and soft, bright sheen which gives the piano irresistible charm and beauty. Steinway and Sons craftspeople meticulously match the grain from one end of the piano to the other, even across the beveled edge of the lid. Pianos made with these types of more exotic grained wood, make a statement by themselves without even being heard. Fit for a king, Queen, Prince, or princess. This grand piano is not only a work of art but is also a magnificent instrument. Circa 1978 In excellent pre-owned condition. Measures: Length 5'7 (170 cm) Serial number 459667.
