STEINWAY MODEL A-III GRAND PIANO / AFRICAN FEATHERED MAHOGANY. This is a magnificent instrument that must be played and heard to be appreciated. The Steinway Model A-III is considered by many to be the best piano ever designed and produced by Steinway. The A-III, also known as the'Long A', is the rarest of the different versions of the A. It is highly desirable for its remarkable depth of tone, volume and dynamic range. Used Steinway Model A-III pianos are sought after by many professional pianists. And this piano is extraordinary whether for home, concert or institutional use. It is slightly longer than the regular Steinway Model A. It has a squared-off tail and two bridges.

Condition: The piano has its original soundboard& ivory keyboard. The wood frame is constructed from feathered African Mahogany. The repaired cracks in the soundboard remain solid. It has been tuned every couple of years but is otherwise maintenance-free.

The case is in good, used condition. There are a few nicks and scratches (see photos) consistent with an instrument of its age and usage. The piano is located in central PA, approximately 30 miles north of Harrisburg. I encourage interested parties who wish to play the piano before purchasing to contact me.
