The Model C (7' 5) was scaled down from the Model D. But larger than the Model B. The Model C is suitable for small and mid-sized concert stages, living rooms or music rooms.
About this Model C Steinway & Sons Grand Piano. This Model C (Serial Number: C59611) was rebuilt for pianist Harvey Levan Cliburn around 1958. At that time accelerated action was added, a new sound board installed, tuning pegs were changed and upgrade made to hold the tune belt. Jackson Piano Service always commented on how well it holds the tune. Jackson Piano Service, out of Southern California has been the sole provider of service and tuning for this piano over the past 25 years.It was moved to a family home in Marysville, Kansas in 1985 and then to California in 1986. In July 2017 it was refurbished.
